Brush Up on Your Dental Coverage

Achieving and maintaining good oral health requires commitment on your part. Along with regular brushing and flossing, you can keep your teeth and gums in optimum health by visiting your dentist for preventive care, including exams and periodic cleanings. Your Hitachi Vantara dental benefits – provided through MetLife Dental – help you keep up with that commitment.

Introducing MetLife Dental

You may recall that, as of January 1, we switched our dental provider to MetLife Dental. After evaluating the needs of our diverse workforce, we found that MetLife’s offering made the most sense for our employees. We think you’ll appreciate:

  • MetLife’s larger, more robust provider network.
  • Digital ID cards for greater convenience at the dentist’s office.
  • Online web portal and mobile app for locating a provider, filing claims, and keeping personalized plan details at your fingertips.
  • And much more!

Dental Coverage Worth Smiling About

Our dental plans help you maintain a healthy smile, covering important services, such as regular preventive dental care. There are two plans to choose from:

  • MetLife Dental Gold PPO – Covers the most common dental expenses.
  • MetLife Dental Platinum PPO – Also covers orthodontia and has a higher annual benefit maximum with some lower copays than the Gold PPO.

Since both plans are Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs), you have flexibility in choosing a dentist that’s within the MetLife Dental network or outside of it. But you’ll pay less when you receive services from an in-network provider.

And no matter which plan you choose, you can receive preventive and diagnostic services at no charge. Platinum PPO covers in-network and out-of-network preventive care at no charge; Gold PPO covers preventive care at no charge, in-network only.

Take Advantage Today!

Did you know that your dental exam is about more than just your teeth and gums? It’s true! While reviewing your oral health, your dentist can also get a window into your overall health and detect signs of other health concerns, including oral cancer, diabetes, and heart or kidney disease. There’s no better time than now to schedule your preventive dental exam.
