Hitachi offers additional programs and services to help you stay healthy and balanced.
Wellperk Reimbursement Program
With WellPerk, you can take care of your physical and/or mental health and be reimbursed up to $650 each year for eligible expenses, such as exercise and wellness programs, and fitness equipment to help you stay healthy.
Eligible Expenses
You may use this benefit for family support expenses such as meal/food delivery, indoor entertainment like videos on demand, and other family-related items to help make your life a little easier.
Get reimbursed up to $650 for expenses such as:
- Gym memberships
- Race, marathon and greens fees (golf)
- Personal training
- Fitness classes (Yoga, Pilates, karate, spinning, kickboxing, bootcamp, Orangetheory Fitness studios, barre classes and more)
- Exercise equipment
- Fitness trackers
- Meditation sessions or apps
- Massages
- Nutritional counseling
You may submit additional expenses (up to a combined total of $650) by December 31, 2024, using your respective expense system.
Note: Family membership fees will only be reimbursed if the fee cannot be broken down to the individual level.
Who’s Eligible
All regular U.S. employees are eligible for this benefit, with some exclusions:
- Temporary or contract employees.
- Mobile workers on assignment from outside the U.S.
- Japanese expats or entrusted.
Weight Loss
Get help and support with weight loss programs that are designed for you! Hitachi will reimburse you 50% of the cost of an eligible weight-loss program, up to $100 each year. To be reimbursed, complete an online expense report through your respective expense system.
Smoking Cessation
Trying to quit? It’s tough, but you’re not in this alone. Hitachi will support you by paying up to $300 each year for a qualified program. To be reimbursed, complete an online expense report through your respective expense system.
Ergonomics
Our bad habits — hunching over desks, forgetting to stand and stretch during the day, or sitting too closely to computer screens — can take a toll on our bodies! Take advantage of our ergonomic resources to make sure you’re comfortable, productive and pain-free at work.

You may also get a one-on-one evaluation with an ERGOHealthy coach. You’ll complete a brief online questionnaire, then get a follow-up call from a coach. Your coach will support you for up to six months, plus give you a personal evaluation report with tips to make your workstation more comfortable. Submit your request today.
