What’s New and Changing for 2027

For 2027, Hitachi continues to offer a robust benefits package designed to support your total well-being. You’ll also see a few updates, including changes to the pharmacy network, new lifestyle management support for certain weight-loss medications, new cancer care support, a required deductible increase for the Anthem HSA Plus plan, expanded Anthem Select Networks in select states, and updates to commuter, pet, and home and auto insurance programs.

Prescription Drug Benefits Updates

Capital Rx is now called Judi Rx. Beginning January 1, 2027, the Judi Rx pharmacy network will move to the Walgreens narrow network. This means CVS and certain other smaller pharmacies will no longer be in-network.

If you’re currently using a pharmacy that will no longer be in-network, you’ll need to transfer your prescriptions to a participating pharmacy before January 1.

Why are we making this change?

Hitachi continues to evaluate its benefits with the goal of maintaining comprehensive support for its employees. We know that changing pharmacies can be an inconvenience, but this change ensures that you and Hitachi pay a fair price, without hidden markups.

Take time now to see which pharmacies are part of Judi Rx, and begin to transfer fills and refills to one of these. Create an account at the Judi Rx Member Portal, or download the mobile app via the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

New Virta Lifestyle Management Support

Beginning January 1, 2027, participation in Virta is required for GLP-1 medications to be covered for weight loss. Virta is a new lifestyle management program that combines physician-led care with nutrition and lifestyle support to help you achieve and maintain the results you desire.

More information will be shared about how you can connect with Virta on January 1.

Anthem HSA Plus Deductible Increase

The Anthem HSA Plus medical plan deductible is increasing to meet required IRS minimums. Beginning January 1, 2027, the deductible will increase from $1,700 to $1,750 for employee-only coverage and from $3,400 to $3,500 for family coverage. However, keep in mind that the plan features a Health Savings Account (HSA), and Hitachi contributes money toward the HSA: $1,000 for employee-only coverage and $2,000 for family coverage.

New Anthem Select Networks

New Anthem Select Networks will be available in Missouri, Virginia and New Jersey. These networks are designed to help generate savings with minimal to no disruption to current providers. If you need care in one of these states, you must use a provider within the Anthem Select Networks to receive full in-network benefits.

Log in to the Anthem Member Portal or download the Sydney Health App via Google Play or the App Store. Your digital ID card will display your precise network name, and the Find Care tool will auto-filter to show only valid “Select” providers in Missouri, Virginia and New Jersey.

New! Expert Cancer Support at No Cost to You

Navigating a cancer diagnosis or high-risk screening on your own can be slow, confusing and expensive. Color Health removes those hurdles by giving you immediate access to specialists, clear treatment guidance, and financial and emotional support – plus personalized prevention to help you assess your cancer risk.
All employees and dependents enrolled in an Anthem medical plan will have access to Color Health beginning January 1, at no additional cost. This includes:

• Cancer screening
• Diagnostic support
• Treatment guidance
• Survivorship care

If you’re diagnosed with cancer, Color Health will coordinate with Carrum Health to help you gain access to high-quality providers, have a more seamless treatment experience, and manage costs for your care.

Commuter Benefits Platform Change

Commuter benefits are moving from WageWorks to MyChoice Accounts by Businessolver. You’ll continue to have access to eligible transit and parking benefits through the new platform.

Look for additional Information in the Hitachi Benefit Pool portal. You can elect commuter benefits at any time during the year by logging in to the Hitachi Benefit Pool portal or via the mobile app by selecting the Benefits Portal Home Page and Change my Benefits > Life Event.

New Pet Insurance Provider

New in 2027! Pet insurance through MetLife. We’re excited to continue to offer this benefit (currently through Fetch), so you can continue to care for your furry loved ones!

MetLife Pet Insurance offers customizable coverage, 50% to 90% reimbursement options, optional preventive care, access to any U.S.-licensed veterinarian, no breed exclusions, 24/7 live vet chat, mobile claims and account management, and employer discounts where available.

MetLife also provides transition protection for certain pre-existing conditions previously covered under another employer-group pet insurance plan, subject to plan terms.

Home and Auto Insurance Program Update

The current Farmers GroupSelect program will transition to the Hitachi Benefit Pool Farmers GroupSelect program, giving you access to a Hitachi-wide insurance program with competitive rates and convenient enrollment. Take advantage of the discounts and programs available to you through the Hitachi Benefit Pool!

You can enroll in this coverage at any time and opt for automatic payments. Please note that payroll deductions will no longer be offered in 2027. Questions? Call 1-800-438-6381 for assistance.
